The Secret Letter

Set in the Second World War, 'The Secret Letter' tells the story of two girls on either side of the enemy divide.  Imogen, evacuated to the Lake District at the start of the war, and Magda, growing up in rural Bavaria and resisting the authoritorian Nazi regime.  As the two girls become involved in the war - Imogen as a Wren working on Operation Overlord, and Magda as a member of the resistance, the two girls are inextricably drawn together by a young RAF pilot. Based on the real diaries and letters of the author's parents.
